Activities Specialists:

Carolina Meadows is seeking a creative and energetic individual to work in our memory care units (and all levels of care for PRN duties). This position is responsible for developing, planning and participating in a variety of activities that will server the needs of our residents. One – two years’ experience in programming and supervising activities, ability to obtain an Activities certification, and experience working with an elderly population required. Valid NC Driver’s license and a team orientated attitude is required. CDL license preferred.

Part – Time: 1:30pm – 5:30pm (8 hours bi-weekly, every other weekend) OR
PRN: (on call as needed – 16 hour per month minimum requirement)

Full-Time Position available for Activities Coordinatior located in Fayetteville NC

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct activity programs in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures. The ACTIVITY DIRECTOR will assure through these programs that the spiritual development, emotional, recreational, and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.

The Activity Program must be directed by a qualified professional who:

  1. Is a qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who is:
    1. Licensed or registered, if applicable, by the state in which practicing; and
    2. Eligible for certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by a recognized accrediting body
    3. Eligible for certification through the National Council of Activity Professionals (NCCAP) or
  2. Has 2 years’ experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one of which was full-time in a resident activity program in a health care setting
  3. Is a qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant; or
  4. Has completed a training course approved by the State
